I have to tell you that we weren't expecting to find our hotel to be haunted when we stayed at the Residence Inn - Landfall during the Cape Fear Crime Festival in February.
Surprise!
We stayed in Room 126. The hotel told us they had remodeled extensively. I guess they forgot to take OUT the ghosts!
It was a very nice room with a little kitchen. Everything seemed to be all right until it started getting later.
All through the evening and at night, you could hear people walking up and down in the hall but when we looked out of the peephole, there was no one there. There was muted talking too and strangely enough, the sound of piano music.
I made fun of my grandson being afraid to look out the door - until I heard it too. There was no reasonable explanation for it. And I've watched enough horror movies than to EVER open the door and ask who's there.
At about 2:30 am, we were awakened by a terrible feeling of dread that wouldn't let any of us go back to sleep. The room was freezing and it was all we could do to huddle on the bed until morning.
Okay - not great ghost hunters! We didn't even think about trying to take photos. Maybe next time.

I had no idea there were ghosts there at the Residence Inn! Did they visit on your first night there? Glad you didn't tell me about that while I was there for the conference or else I'd have been up all that night!
